I’m trying to be a good girl, and actually give a little word-space to all the stuff I’ve been too lax to blog up proper in the past few months. To that end, I present Part the Fourth: A SWEATER.
May I present Streamside? Why thank you.
Yarn is Madelinetosh Merino, a worsted-ish single ply in her signature gorgeous colors. This particular one is called Celadon. It is absolutely one of my favorite yarns ever. I have stashed a truly ridiculous amount for various other projects. I’m sorry. I couldn’t stop myself.
Pattern is Streamside (ravlink) by Cecily Glowik McDonald, whose style I love. Oddly enough, this is the first pattern of hers I’ve knit. It won’t be the last. Mods, you ask? I shortened the torso (shock!), both above and below the ingenious ribbed waist shaping. I skipped the pockets, because I knew I’d never use them. I also forgot to add the final buttonhole, but since I never button things that far down it didn’t seem worth frogging to fix. I only really got one wear out of it before the weather turned too warm, but it is really lovely, and I foresee many outings for it next spring.

Beautiful! That color is absolutely phenomenal. I am quickly falling in love with madeline tosh myself! 🙂

Her stuff is glorious, isn’t it? 🙂 Did you take some knitting with you to Liberia?
