It has been roughly eight million years since last I posted, and I have therefore myriad things about which I could write. However, I’ve sort of entered that place where the onus of relating all those things is heavier than I can bear, so I sigh and put it off. So more things accumulate. Then I just sigh and put it off more. And on and on, ad infinitum.

It’s a terribly vicious cycle.

So, in my usual fashion, I’m just going to say “pfft!” and throw all those things in the closet, to be trotted out later if I ever feel like discussing them. So there.

It’s threatening rain today. It’s been threatening rain all week, but it hasn’t yet happened. This has resulted in lots of bus-riding and (on a related note) sock knitting. It has probably also resulted in a slightly expanded waistline, which irks me.

I tried to sew last week, only to discover that the fabric I’d ordered for a dress, of which the vendor told me they couldn’t fulfill my entire order and thus sent me what they had, is in fact enough to make the dress. This is both good and bad, as it means I can make a dress, but that it was rather useless of me to get all my things sorted to make a blouse.

Am now waiting on blouse fabric. Have more than enough knitting to keep me occupied in the meantime. Should also wash fabric I received weeks ago for summer skirts, since this return to cooler temps is ever so temporary and I will need cool and floaty skirt-type things sooner rather than later.

I’ve added a link up top to my Pinterest profile. As much as people like to mock every new “social media” site that springs up, I really like this one. It’s like a more visual way to bookmark things for later reference, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. And, believe it or not, I’ve actually followed through on some on the things I’ve pinned. If you’re a squirreler of notes, pictures, magazine articles, old postcards, swatches, or anything, you really ought to give it a try. And friend me, so I can lurk on all your boards.

That’s all I have for the moment. It’s still very gray.
