No, that isn’t poor grammar. It’s this (link). Which I enjoyed in a purely appreciative, fellow grammar-fascist sort of way.
Until this (another link). Now I just want to squeeze it.
And since she’s not selling, I need to get my fix some other way.
Bulky brown alpaca handspun? Check. Yarn that looks like fur? Maybe check. Felt and fabric bits to use as trimmings? Check.
All-consuming obsessive desire to create an alot of my very own?
Big, big check.

Regarding Tuesday’s sewing thoughts, I was going to vote for curtains-not much to fit, straight seams and good bang for your buck. Plus, you could coordinate them with the handspun alpaca blanket :). But what are matching curtains and blankets when compared to alot? Notmuch!
What amazing sewing skills your Nanny Jo has! Using them to create that incredible Halloween costume says it all. Skills to burn! Wow!

Yeah, my Nanny Jo is a juggernaut of DIY. I wish I had pictures of the Christmas tree she made with all the things from the “12 Days of Christmas” song on it. She handmade them all. It’s a work of art.
I think curtains might be my first attempt, though now that we’ve rearranged our storage situation, one window doesn’t really need them anymore. 🙂 I can still make some pretty drapey ones for the bedroom window, though!
