Just a short little post for some nice tall socks.

These are the May socks from the Self-Imposed Sock Club 2011.  I started them on May 12. I finished them on May 31.

WE’RE BACK ON TRACK, PEOPLE! WOO!

Sorry about that.

Other than a minor gaffe at the outset where I failed to read the pattern and knit the ribbing wrong, these were a breeze.  I love the sort-of-linen-stitch-but-not-quite heel flap, I love the fleuret pattern, and I love that I used up nearly all of my yarn without panicking, and that now I have a lovely pair of new socks in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Lightweight, colorway Spinel. I have determined after this pair that it truly is my all-time favorite sock yarn.  It’s comfy, yet the spin on it is super-tight and it wears so well.  And Tina’s colors are gorgeous. So if you like to knit socks, I highly recommend picking some up. You can get it at her website, bluemoonfiberarts.com.

So yeah. That’s the May socks. Pattern is Oolong, from the very first issue of Twist Collective (link). I knit them top down, Magic Loop-style on a US 1 needle. They fit perfectly. And thank you, Rosa, for the yummy yarn!

And now, on to the BoySocks.
