Random life updates:
- I’m plugging away at the May Socks. One sock, a cuff, and some leg down, the rest of the second to go. Loving the yarn and pattern so far though. Huzzah!
- I’m hoping I can spend some quality time with the lace stole I started in April for NW/BSGFPB and get it finished so I have a nice clean slate for the start of the new games in June.
- This should be made much more possible by the fact that I have Saturday off from rehearsal, and that Mr. Boyfriend will be in Maryland for a 3-day heavy metal extravaganza. I will be spending most of my free time this weekend knitting and watching Buffy and moping.
- However, I might be making/having dinner with my globe-trotting friend Viv Saturday evening. This will be a most welcome interruption to knitting time.
- I ordered some really lovely Blue Moon Fiber Arts yarn to knit Mr. Boyfriend’s and my friend Heather a stole as a wedding gift. The wedding’s in September. LET THE PROCRASTINATION BEGIN!
- The Interview is next Wednesday. Trying really hard not to dwell on that fact.
- Two weeks ago, I was riding nearly 10 miles a day on the ol’ bike. Then I flattened my rear tire and New York decided to pretend it was Seattle for a week and a half and rain non-stop. I grabbed some new tubes yesterday, and successfully changed them myself. Just in time, I should mention, for rehearsals to move to Manhattan. Boo. But biking is fun.
And that’s about it.

Coraline looks lovely, and the knitting details you described are interesting! What we really need to properly appreciate and understand the sweater, though, is a picture of you wearing it. Why don’t you ask that globe-trotting friend of yours to take a few photos? 🙂
